I would embrace the opportunity to share and learn and exchange ideas with others at the Festival, and would bring with me the ideas of the People of our Oregon community to share. I will blog and share ideas from the Festival with the Libraries of Oregon through the Oregon Library Association and at the annual Library Director’s Meeting in our Capital Salem Oregon. I see this as a huge opportunity and hope to be able to participate in this amazing gathering of People! Thank You for considering me for this opportunity. Pete Barrell

hi okfest,
I am a street artist from Nairobi Kenya who has been painting the streets of Kibera for 12years.My community in my Kibera neighborhood have been embracing my work for the years because i paint what they relate with.i recently painted a peace train that passes through the slum and is visible to most of the people who see and board it daily.messages of peace and reconciliation were what me and my crew painted on the coaches that were donated by the cities railway company before the Presidential elections last year.the move was there to prevent haterade and bloodshade that was experienced in the previous election in 2007 where we lost around 1300people on tribal violence.the powerful pieces are what i want to share with the world to help change the political structures that happening currently.
many thanks

Thanks for your application – we received it and you’ll hear from us in due course.
Your work sounds incredibly exciting and powerful, so thank you for letting us know about it.
There were no auto-confirmation emails sent out, but as long as you filled in the form above before the end of day on May 4th and hit ‘submit’ at the end, we will have received your application.
Unfortunately we’re no longer accepting applications for financial aid, as the deadline has passed. We hope you can still join us in Berlin though, and look forward to welcoming you!
I applied for the financial aid but i haven’t had any answer. Is it supposed i haven’t been selected? I read in the Festival’s newsletter you had received lots of application and that the selection had been delayed. I would appreciate if you send me a confirmation about.
